This magical re-creation of the beloved holiday classic is brought to life through scripted scenes, live singing, dancing, and joyful audience interaction. Passengers of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ arrive for a special moment; a moment where families can all be together to share in an experience based on a movie and book that they love, and one that has a beautiful message. We are seeking talented, charismatic, and energetic performers who can captivate an audience of all ages and create unforgettable memories for families. As an actor, you would be joining a team whose primary goal is to ensure each passenger receives a fun, moving, and meaningful experience. SANTA: Male identified character actor, any ethnicity, to play 45+; warm, sincere, full of real joy, non-singer.
CONDUCTOR: Male identified, any ethnicity, to play 35-55; stoic to goofy, charming, simple singing and choreography.
HOBO: Male identified actor, any ethnicity to play 25-35; high-energy, assertive, gruff, strong-voiced; imposing while masking a joyful heart. Non-singer.
STEWARD: All genders and ethnicities to play 20-30; singer/actor, authoritative, outgoing, team player.
KIA or “Know-It-All”: All genders and ethnicities to play 20-30; actor, comedic, energetic, outgoing, personable, foil to ‘Steward’, team player, singing is a plus!
BAILEY: All gender and ethnicities to play 20-30; singer/actor, outgoing, joyful, comedic, personable, team player.
HERO CHILD: All genders and ethnicities to play 11-13 years old; 5’3” or under; sincere, kind. Non-singer.
